had my appendix out ages ago... nothing news happened cept of a 1300 doller ambo bill and depressing friends... ....

Hospitals SUCK!!!!

OWWWW!!! i just had a major damper to my ski trip!
thursday night
pain in the bottom right had side of my stomach, vomiting and a nasty high temp.
friday morn. 0900 hours
it didnt clear up so the teacher took me to the med bay in perisher
they didnt have the right equiptment to see what it was so they sent me too coomah hospital which was about an hour away, went in an ambo tho!!! that was fun and the teacher stayed with me- by law they have to XD
friday avo 1330 hours
the docs took a blood test and diagnosed it as an inflamed appendix and sent me to the canberra hospital
friday night 2000 hours
wheeled me into the operatring room, last thing i remember was one of the nurses gently pressing bettween my coller bone and saying that she was making sure that i didnt throw up.
sat morn. 0200 hours
woke up in the bed in my hospital room... and fell asleep
sat morn 1130 hours
woke up and saw dad sitting in my room and the nurse taking my ops.
sat lunch
after my first peice of food in ages i had a lunch of watery soup and custard
after lunch i went for the first walk, which turned out to be very painful. the gas they used in the op. to blow my stomach up so they could see is still settling in my body and man it is painful!!!!
the sat and sun just kind of went together like that, going to the bathroom, trying not to vomit when you see and smell hospital food- even now it makes me feel sick. spending the night and day doped up on morphine, and annoying the nurses when i could walk around was pretty much my hospital experence.
monday i flew out, the flight was ment to leve at 6.05 but was delayed to 0635.
after we hit adelaide a heavy layer of fog had settled in on the city, making it impossible to land. after an hour and a half of flying laps around the city, the plane took a de-tour to melborne to re-fuel and kill a bit of time for the fog to lift off the city.
we landed at 1235 and didnt get off till 1300.
and ever since then i have been home, got my wounds re-dressed by the local clinic and lazed around.
